Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great place for a coffee/drink to rest before taking on the rest of the gallery."
"Wonderful space up on the top floor under the cupola at the front of the building. Moderate range of good quality healthy food."
"The member's room offers the same food options as the public area, known as the Djanogly Café, and much the same (I think as the Tate Modern), I would call it a modern cafe cuisine, which seems to cater for most diets. It's self-service, but often less of a queue and usually a seat, and one can often go through into the salon and if super lucky get a window seat over the Thames... While I suppose not the purpose of this area, it's fair to say there are few mobile/phone charge points, and if the lifts are out (alas this was the case on my last visit) the stairs can be a bit of a climb... Nonetheless, a great place to retreat to, and as a famous author said "far from the madding crowd""
"I use the members lounge fairly regularly, not just a perk of my Tate membership but a lovely space to meet with friends or in my case stop for a zoom meeting and a decent coffee. As a creative I find the space calm, non intrusive and light. There is a good atmosphere with quite spaces and access to some great lunch!"
"Attractive, roomy and peaceful space, much better than the old members room. The food and drink is good, but very limited. Nice friendly service."
"On my last trip to London, I was lucky enough to be invited the member tearoom. With high ceilings and huge windows, the tearoom is a wonderful place for conversation. Nobody hurries you. It's a very civilized place to relax. I ended up joining the museum, not totally for the tearoom."
"We’ve been coming to the Members Room on a regular basis for many years. Staff have always been polite and efficient. Coffee is good quality and the food is reliable, if not exciting. The space is wonderfully calming."
"Good boot hole for coffee and cake. Sadly, like all modern Cafe's in museums and art galleries, the prices are quite high."
